Difference between 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz?

2.4GHz is the most typical frequency used for wireless devices today; however, it is not without its limitations. It has a higher bandwidth than 5GHz but also suffers from interference due to other similar signals nearby or above it on the spectrum (such as Bluetooth). Bottom line? It will all depend on which frequency you choose for your Wi-Fi router, but I would stick with the latest 802.11ac, one of the newer standards for faster speeds and a better range.
